Godsey notches seventh-place finish in Hell Tour stop at Highland

After a mid-summer break, Roth Motorsports returned with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals on Friday afternoon at Highland Speedway (Highland, Ill.) for the event rescheduled from July 10. Drawing 29 cars, Joe secured his spot into the show with a fourth-place finish in his heat while Jeff had to rely on a provisional after placing 10th in his heat and 14th in his B-Main. With $10,000 on the line, Roth passed six cars to finish 16th while Godsey advanced forward five spots to come in seventh.

On Saturday evening at Federated Raceway at I-55 (Pevely, Mo.), Roth scored a third-place finish in his heat while Godsey logged a fifth-place finish. After retiring early from his B-Main, Joe took a provisional into the feature and passed three cars to finish 16th. Jeff Roth scored a 15th-place finish in the 40-lap affair.

Joe is currently in fourth and Jeff is eighth in the DIRTcar Summer Nationals point standings.
