Jeff Roth claims Heatley's Hard Charger at Perth Motorplex

With unfavorable weather wiping out Tuesday's annual Boxing Day event at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway (Toowoomba, QLD) and on Wednesday at Autobarn Carina International Speedway (Alloway, QLD), Jeff Roth's trip down under kicked off on Friday at McCosker Gladstone Speedway (Gladstone, QLD) for the Late Model Summer Speedweek opener.

After timing in second-fastest overall in his hot lap session, Roth was a scratch from the remainder of the program.

On the other side of Australia on Monday, Jeff and the crew invaded Bunbury Speedway (Bunbury, WA) for the opening round of the 2024 Wild West Showdown. With a pair of heat races on tap, Roth lost a distributor cap in his first heat that brought an early end to his race before rebounding in his second heat with a third-place finish. Charging from the 20th-starting position in the main event, Jeff advanced to an impressive ninth-place finish.

For the second round of the Wild West Showdown on Tuesday at Perth Motorplex (Kwinana Beach, WA), Roth was collected in a tangle in his first heat after adjusting to a newly required left-arm restraint. Dialed in for the feature, Jeff took the green in 25th and marched all the way up to 12th. He was awarded the Heatley's Hard Charger honor for his impressive drive.
